Punjab Police’s humorous social media posts warning law breakers to behave during New Year’s eve, are breaking the internet. One of the creative posts shared on Facebook and Twitter by Punjab Police with its insignia has the headline “New Year 2024 celebration”. At first it glance seems to be invitation to a new year party or new year greetings from the Punjab Police but after going through the entire content, it leaves one in splits. As per the wording “31st December special law and order performance by Punjab Police. This new year eve if you are Drinking and Driving, Fighting on Streets, Breaking Law and Order, Punjab Police has offers for you. Free entry at City Police Station , Law Breakers will be given special treatment”

In this post Punjab Police has also advised citizens to dial 112 and invite the cops if anyone tries to ruin anyone’s new year night. In another witty post in which a character is seen behind the bar , Punjab police says “You choose in the Bar or behind the Bars. 2024 Happy New Year” Both these posters are evoking quite a response on the social media with people even sharing these in whatsapp groups.

Meanwhile in all the districts of Punjab, Police has already made elaborate arrangements to maintain law and order on near year’s eve. Ludhiana Police too had recently issued orders regarding timings of new year celebrations and fixed deadline of 1 AM for celebrations, parties at city’s bars,clubs, restaurants and hotels.
