On the ocassion of International Women's Day 2024 Thesocial24 spoke exclusively to IRS Maninderjit Kaur whose story from her village to IRS is very insiprational.

Growing up in the small village of Barnala District in Punjab, from a farmer’s family, to now an IRS Officer, meet Maninderjit Kaur, a woman who knows the power of determination and perseverance. Maninderjit Kaur is an IRS Officer and also occupying the post of assistant commissioner, central GST.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, thesocial24 had a special conversation with her in which she retold the story of how she was inspired by one of her school teachers to become an officer and to also appear for the civil services examination. She added that in every field they have to face challenges and overcoming these challenges is what creates a better officer.

On this day her message for other women out there is that women should aspire to be financially independent which will pave their way for every other kind of empowerment, and she also said parents should invest in their daughters just like their sons.
