Taking action against unauthorized constructions, Municipal Corporation (MC) razed illegal under construction colony near the main dump site of MC on Tajpur road. The building branch officials stated that a colony was being carved out and the coloniser was also establishing an office at the said site. Working on the directions of MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi, action was taken on Saturday and the under construction colony was razed.

Assistant Town Planner (ATP-Zone B) Harvinder Singh Honey said that they came to know about the illegal construction during routine inspection, following which the team visited the site on Saturday and took action against the illegal colony. Further, the coloniser has been warned of strict legal action if he restarts illegal construction at the sitE
