In honor of International Women's Day, the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the College of Community Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized a lecture titled “Embracing the Inner Power of Womanhood” today. The event featured an insightful discourse led by BK Jyotsna, a motivational speaker from Brahma Kumaris, and her team.
Jyotsna, in her enlightening address, underscored the importance of recognizing and harnessing the inherent strength within every woman. She elaborated on the eight innate powers women possess and provided guidance on leveraging them effectively. Following the lecture, a meditation session was conducted by Jyotsna and her team to engage participants and foster greater self-awareness and personal growth.
Dr. Kiran Bains, the Dean of the College of Community Science, highlighted the nurturing role of women and lauded the initiative. She reaffirmed the department's dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students and faculty.
Dr. Seema Sharma, the Head of the Department, encouraged students to work towards building a more equitable society where women can thrive and excel.
The event was moderated by Dr. Prachi Bisht and Dr. Ritu Mahal, Assistant Professors at the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. Dr. Bisht welcomed a lively turnout of students, faculty, and staff eager to engage in dialogue and reflect on the lecture's theme.
