IRS Aruna N Gupta appointed member CBIC

In a major development, centre government on Friday appointed senior IRS Officer Aruna Narayan Gupta as member , Central Board of Indirect Taxes (CBIC) with immediate effect. Aruna N Gupta is 1989 batch IRS officer (C&IT) and has held very important positions , latest being Principal Director General (Vigilance) and Chief Vigilance Officer, CBIC. According to the orders issued by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions today, "The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ms. Aruna Narayan Gupta, IRS (C&IT:1989), Principal Director General (Vigilance) and Chief Vigilance Officer, CBIC to the post of Member, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) against the vacancy dated 01.01.2024"
