Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) held its Annual General Meeting and elections for the post of its President on Friday amidst the presence of its associate members. Members of steering committee, Executive committee and YBLF committee were present during the meeting. Around 500 members representing different sectors of Ludhiana industry marked their presence in the meeting.

In a major development, Chairman of New Swan Group and current president of CICU Upkar Singh Ahuja was elected association's president unopposed once agin. Ahujs's name was supported unanimously by all the members present in the meeting.

While accepting the honour of being President for next term, Ahuja ensured to reach at the doorstep of industry in the state. He shared his vision to extend the wholehearted support to Micro and small industry. Ahuja ensured the full support to MSMEs with the establishment of Centre of Manufacturing Excellence at the CICU complex.

During the meeting, members came up with the recommendation of extending the president term to 10 years instead of present 2 years term for that a meeting is proposed in coming days.All the industry members congratulated Upkar Singh Ahuja for being President and conveyed their high-hopes with the able leadership
