A delegation of Ludhiana industry led by Gurmeet Singh Kular President of FICO (Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization) and Harsimarjit Singh Lucky President UCPMA ( United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association) met DPS Grewal Director Distribution, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, and submitted a written memorandum regarding seeking the immediate resolution for the Industrial Issues.

Giving more information, Kular said, "Power is one of the major raw materials for the industry, and the quality of the power ensures optimum production for the industry. It has been observed that many power trippings are there in the industrial areas. Also, the quality of the power being supplied to the industry is very poor as many voltage fluctuations along with multiple unscheduled power cuts are being observed. It is requested that good-quality power be ensured for the industry. We also apprised the director PSPCL that pSPCL has issued penalty notices under the Unauthorized Use of Electricity to Small and Medium Industries having electroplating units and induction heater units, considering them under Power Intensive Unit Categories. When the industry is getting electricity through a metered connection and paying accordingly, how can it be an unauthorized use of electricity, You are requested to rollback the same"
